The City of Barrett is currently working on a Historical Photo Project. Perhaps you have seen some the restorations at the City Office, or at the Pavilion Appreciation Dinner. We have collected a number of original photographs. After having them professionally scanned, we have had them restored and then enlarged to 30 X 36 inches and put on canvass. Our goal is to have 10-15 photos which capture the early life in Barrett. We will have the photos on display at the Barrett City Office, the Community Center, seasonally at the Pavilion, and also at some area businesses. We hope to rotate the photos so people can enjoy them at all locations. We are seeking 1) Sponsors and 2) Photos. The cost to sponsor a photo is $150. Sponsors are listed on the front of the actual restoration they choose to sponsor. We have

assembled some photos and are still looking for more, most of the photos we have were donated for scanning by the Grant County Historical Society, but some have also come from individuals/families. If someone does allow us to scan their photos, the contributor/family is also acknowledged on the front of the restoration. If you do bring us a photo, we will take it in to be scanned in a timely manner and return the original photo to you. Early photos we are still looking for include: The Hotel, Roosevelt Hall, The Hospital, The Barbershop, The Telephone Office, and any other pictures showing the early days of Barrett. If you have any of these photos or are interested in sponsoring a photo please contact Marita at the Barrett City Office at 320-528-2440 or Deborah Nelson Pick at 320-528-2597. Be sure to stop and check out the photos as they become available!
