General Information on Water/Sewer Billings

1.  The City of Barrett bills on a monthly basis for water, sewer, and garbage.  Meters are read on or about the 15th of month and bills are sent out the 1st of the following month.  Garbage service is not an optional service.

2.  All bill are due in the City Office by the 20th of the month. 

3.  If any bill is not paid by or before the due date, a late fee of 10% of the outstanding balance will be added to that bill.  Accounts 30 days past due will receive a shut off notice stating the day which the bill must be paid in full.  If the bill is not paid by the shut off date, water will be disconnected.  The bill must then be paid in full along with a $75 reconnect fee to get water service back on.

4.  Any customer disputing the correctness of his or her bill shall have a right to a hearing before the City Council.
